The long awaited return of Dave Chappelle to the comedic world was well overdue prior to his recent Saturday Night Live appearance and he did not disappoint! Now he is teaming up with Netflix to release three comedy specials! One of the new shows will be an original stand-up special and the other shows are previously unseen gigs from Chappelle’s personal collection. So it looks like they may be giving him some autonomy over the shows, which is also exciting since it is believed to be one of the reason he took a 10 plus year sabbatical from comedy.

“Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy, and we are honored he will mark his global return on Netflix,” Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s head of original documentary and comedy, told the Hollywood Reporter.

Chappelle is back like he never left and we are all excited to see what he has in store.
