Robbie Gatti is a Republican candidate for a Louisiana House of Representatives seat and currently is favorite to win.

However, as a politician you have to be aware that your past WILL catch up to you if you have not covered every track!

In Gatti’s case a photo turned up from 15 years ago, him in full glorious smiling blackface! Ooops!

So, an apology is surely in order…. BUT Gatti thinks otherwise and seems to think he is justified.

He wrote to Facebook:

15 years ago, my church held a fall festival, where all the volunteers were told to dress as a famous person. Tiger Woods was at the height of his popularity, as a world champion, and that was who I was dressed as. Shortly after this event, I was ordained into the church. As a medical professional, ordained minister and military officer, I live my life seeing only character and I stand by that. I’m sad that my opponents have taken a good night at church and turned it into negative, political mud, but I’m confident the voters of Bossier will not fall for their desperate attacks.

You have to be dumb as hell not to see how this is wrong!

And dumb as hell not to apologise but seeing as racism and bigotry are in these days I would not be surprised if he wins by a larger margin than expected, hell, maybe his team even released this photo!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with dressing up as Tiger Woods, you can go the whole hog with the golf bag, the Nike polo shirt and even bring along a caddi!

JUST DON’T BLACKFACE, take a leaf out of the little boy who dressed up as his hero Malcom X fro Halloween and melted everyone’s hearts.
