So many people are freaking out about Trump’s win, hate crime is up around 67% since he started running, he is slowly indicating his cabinet will be filled with members that will not be good for the black community, basically it’s a legitimate belief that he will not be a positive thing.
So, why are some people, including rapper and actor David Banner, insisting that Trump’s win was a great thing?
Banner is not and was not a Trump supporter, so what is he on about?
Well…
On Wednesday Banner took to a Facebook livestream to say
“This may be the best thing to ever happen to black people, maybe in history because now there is no excuse,”
“I think the veil of America has been ripped off. The fake mask has been ripped off. Maybe Hillary winning would’ve kept that mask on, and we would’ve been further been pacified as people. So for me, now it’s what are we gonna do as a community? What is the agenda?”
Basically this is the only thing to really kick the community into action, into doing something and finding a voice and a leader, he went onto say
“I see a lot of people asking, ‘Where is our leader?’ You are the leader. Stop looking for somebody else. That’s the problem,” he said. “That’s the reason why we’re in the position that we’re in right now. We’re always looking for somebody else. It’s you, you do it.”
The livestream is below, do you think he is right?
