Jamie Foxx, who’s real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, has built himself a place as a solid person in media.
From comedy to music, presenting and acting in all forms he has proved himself. This versatility on top of absolute raw talent has helped him build a solid net worth heading up towards the century! Currently Jamie Foxx’s net worth is estimated at $85 million.
Jamie was born on 13th December 1967 in Terrell, Texas. He grew up in the fairly segregated block in a strict baptist upbringing. Unusually he was brought up by his mother’s adoptive parents and had little contact with his own.
At 5 he was already playing piano and rising in the choir, by third grade he was so good at making people laugh that the teachers would use him as a treat for the class.
Early on the talent he had was clear. Foxx was pretty much good at anything he laid his hands on. He graduated with top marks, was the first footballer in his school to pass 1000 yards and even though he dabbled in going pro he eventually went to the United States International University, on scholarship, where he studied classical music and composition.
Foxx’s stage name came when learning at one of his first open night mics that the ladies went first.
So he made his name ambiguous so that he would get picked early!
He went onto finding a recurring role in In Living Color in 1991 and his stand up and acting career began in parallel.
When Foxx finally hit the movies (his first movie was Toy Story) it was clear this man was made for the big screen. In Any Given Sunday he showed his acting force and went onto having a monumental 2004. He starred in both Collateral and Ray, both of which were nominated for an Oscar. Only Foxx and Al Pacino have had two nominations for different films in the same year!
Jamie’s music career has also been solid. Collaborations and solo releases have always done well, throw on top three comedy specials and you can see why he managed to build up such a net worth, million is pretty amazing!
It’s almost certain his fortune will continue to grow!
