Questions Raised: Was Sandra Bland Already Dead In Her Mug Shot?

by | Jul 23, 2015 | News | 2 comments

The community is buzzing with questions over the recently released mug shot of Sandra Bland, the young lady found dead in her jail cell three days after a traffic arrest.

The Waller County, TX police say it was a suicide, but family members suspect foul play.

Bland’s is raising concerns and questions. Various social media outlets, including #BlackTwitter, are discussing the image and many are saying she appears to already be dead in the photo.

Conspiracy theories? Maybe….but maybe foul play was involved as well.

I don’t know the signs of rigamortis, but some say it is evident in the photos. Others claim her hair is touching the ground. But here is where it starts to get interesting for me.

[ADSENSE2] Bland’s background is different from other inmate’s mug shots in the Waller County, TX jail. The other inmates seem to have the painted concrete blocks as a background. Bland doesn’t. She has what seems like a cell floor behind her.

There is photo of the cell she was in and it matches the background in her mug shot. There are no concrete blocks in the background.

And the point about a plastic trash bag? Since when are their trash bags in jail cells?

Here are a few of the tweets:

SOUND OFF:  What are your thoughts on Bland’s photo?

First of all, your mugshot is usually always taken when you first arrive to the jail so there wouldn’t be any marks. What I think happened, she was pulled over for this traffic infraction, police told her she was going to be arrested and because of the activast she is, it is highly likely she felt she was being treated unfairly maybe discriminated against and she resisted arrest. Police of this police tried to restrain her and maybe used excessive force ultimately killing her. For dash cam sake, they cuffed her, picked her up and placed her in the patrol car. Arriving at the jail they booked her as usual (mugshot and all) and put her in cell (maybe). After taking 3 days (what the hell is she doing in jail for 3 days on a lousy traffic infraction) they finally decided that they had come up with a legit story and released the report along with booking mugshot. I mean people do hang themselves in jail often so why would people think twice about it? Well, not everyone is as arrogant as these officers apparently. I mean the trash bag is in the danm trash can! And if they try saying that they had replaced the bag then they disrupted a crime scene and basically everyone gets away with everything and they play stupid like “oops” “we didn’t realize she was dead when we replacing it.” So my questions are, the other inmates that claimed to have seen her and talked to her, are they legit or could they have been offered some kind of brib to lie and say they saw her alive like money or as little as their release from jail? How many officers are on the force at this jail? Are they white? Do they have a history of excessive force? Does the jail have a history of suicides? Is this small town? How many other inmates saw her alive? Just one? Two? Ten? Usually, all inmates are given the same treatment, why was she allowed to have a garbage? Why is her mugshot in a different place from everyone else’s? Is there even a grey wall in this jail without the blocks behind it? Why is her mugshot being taken in a totally different place then everyone else? Maybe so no one sees the picture being taken. Many questions. Iv seen the crooked things police do and it would not surprise me the least. Especially in a small town in Texas. What is the black population? What is the white to African American arrest record show? This is my opinion.

Also, for this to be a valid mugshot along with the other mugshot someone posted, there needs to be a TIME AND DATE!!! Or its not considered a legal mugshot its just a photograph. It also needs to be on a world clock. Like Afis. Not a laptop where anything can be altered. Even a throw away camera still has at least a time and date.
