The South Carolina Deputy who dragged a female student across a classroom last October will not be facing charges after prosectors decided not to pursue them! This is NOT RIGHT! I think we can all agree!
The shocking incident was caught on video and sent waves throughout social and traditional media.
Apparently, a 12-page report concluded there was not enough evidence to prosecute Ben Fields…. Errrr, I think we ALL saw the video! I don’t think there is much more to say, it doesn’t matter what the girl did, she was assaulted.
The ex-Deputy was responding to a call because the student refused to surrender her cell phone or leave the class. She ignored his orders, he then flipped her and her desk backwards, dragged her to the front of the class and handcuffed her. It was all plain to see on the video.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott fired Fields after the backlash.
Strangely a witness and the student who filmed the incident were also facing charges (which they never should have been).
These charges have also been dropped.
Ben Fields does still face a Federal Investigation, so maybe some justice can be had!
