Bruno Mars is more than just catchy pop music, he does a fair bit for causes he cares about and his latest announcement is one we can all applaud.

On Saturday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills he announced a $1 Million donation to help victims of Flint’s water crisis.

During the middle of “Just The Way Your Are”, right near the end of the show he told the crowd the song was dedicated to “our brothers and sisters in Flint,” and said his one million will go to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.

Late Saturday he gave a media statement saying:

“I’m very thankful to the Michigan audience for joining me in supporting this cause. Ongoing challenges remain years later for Flint residents, and it’s important that we don’t forget our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster. As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again.”
