For whatever reason, black people assume that if you are rich or have power, you must be a mason or part of some powerful group such as the illuminati. I guess success doesn’t come to black people unless somebody or some entity helps you get there. Or maybe our perception of what freemasonry is and the illuminati is(was) is somewhat skewed. We love to throw names like Jay-Z, Russell Simmons, Rick Ross, and other black entertainers in the mix when it comes to naming masons or those that are part of the illuminati.

The reality of the situation is why we are arguing about who is and who isn’t, maybe we need to learn the knowledge that masons process. Maybe the conversation should turn to black people learning about the truth history of our people by walking into the light. Maybe instead of diving into gossip that doesn’t make a difference in our community, we should enlighten ourselves so that we can give to our people. We have two choices: either build or destroy.
