Obama has a fondness for rapper Kendrick Lamar after he said the artists song “How Much a Dollar Cost?” was his favorite song of 2015, so it’s not that suprising the pair ended up chatting away in the Oval office.

Of course though it was not just a social visit. Lamar was there promoting the government mentoring program My Brother’s Keeper.

Lamar and the Pres seem solid behind the cause with Lamar saying without “the presence of an older acquaintance telling me what’s right and what’s wrong. Telling me the pros and cons of every move I was about to make.

Telling me the best way to plan success for my future.

The pair seemed to get along really well and they put together a promo video for the event.
