#Untwist: Black People Enslaved Other Black People-Does That Excuse White Supremacy?

by | Feb 8, 2017 | Opinion | 0 comments

There are Black people who will tell you that there are other Black people who prefer a white man’s water because they think that a white man’s water is colder.

If a Black man does it, it is one thing; but if a white man does the same thing and even worse, then the dynamics are automatically different.

I keep hearing whites trying to excuse white supremacy and racism and even white privilege by saying things like “black people enslaved Black people before white people did.

Let’s untwist the white privilege narrative.

First of all, just because Blacks enslaved other Blacks, that does not excuse the 400-year long travesty of slavery and its codependent ‘racism’ in America, nor the subsequent long-term results of color-based disenfranchisement and continuous racial discrimination that prevails in American society to this day.

Period.

Reparations are still due and owing. The clock is still ticking and Black America has YET to be made whole in a nation that made its wholesale reputation and riches off the culture and grace and living workplace labor of Black Americans.

Figure it out, White America.

If you want others to stop making excuses, set an example by not making excuses yourselves.
