UI Meme of the Day, a Daily Series…
If you celebrated Thanksgiving on yesterday, November 27, 2014, then congratulations once again for allowing white Americans to give you a day or two off work on the “modern American plantations” in order to celebrate the genius of historical histrionic stealing, killing and destroying; and then for topping it off by paying homage to them with your cash and a turkey to commemorate the above.
Maybe we are the “sacrificial turkeys” that we seek.
Congratulations, once again, for repeating this vicious cycle and for worshiping them with YOUR economic dollars for what amounts to nothing good that happened on the shores of the United States of America. Ever.
Thankfulness?
It isn’t about a day of “thanksgiving,” because we really ought to be thankful all day every day, morning, noon and night, so no one is pulling the wool over us on that one.
Family gatherings?
How about this … Beginning today, let us have a “Black Family INgathering” the day before, the day of, and the day after Thanksgiving Day.
But you don’t want to …
Ruin the holiday?
It is already ruined by the simple understanding and implication of what it really stands for.
Watch President Obama make that “Stupid Krakka Day” showing at the White House by pardoning a damned turkey when he should be pardoning some Black men who have been wrongly imprisoned.
This “holey day” is ruined by its own nature and implications, but it can be fixed by US, and here’s how:
*Commemorate Black Friday by INGATHERING all Black and colored and Afrocentric and Pan-African people around the WORLD to come together and shame this nation for what it has done to its Native Americans and Indians, and to us Black Americans and Native Easterners as a whole.
*Instead of shopping, check the deed: Write quite a few OLD SCHOOL letters (paper, envelopes, and postage) to our Congressmen and local level politicians, governors, and mayors about this nation’s homegrown treachery and treasonous behaviors toward its Black and Afrocentric citizens from sea to shining sea, establish a basis for the future by letting them know just how we feel about it NOW.
*Bring solutions, rather than turkeys and dressing, to every Black household TABLE on Thanksgiving Day and BLACK FRIDAY.
How do we truly show thankfulness?
By ingathering with solutions meant to end these endless and senseless attacks on our characters as a race of people, on our homes, our lands, our schools and colleges, our households, our children, and our persons.
The only BLACK FRIDAY for BLACK America should last seven (count ’em 7) days a week … Hammer and Nail, Boots on the Ground, old school style, until these issues are finally put to bed once and for all.
Black Friday, Black Saturday, Black Sunday, Black Monday, Black Tuesday, Black Wednesday, Black Thursday… continuously – UNTIL IT ENDS.
Thanksgiving and Black Friday money, these thousands and millions of dollars spent on commemorating and memorializing white supremacist actions by paying them homage with our cash, can be spent on reviving a waning and dying HBCU, or by building a new Black business in our ‘hoods over and above anyone else’s.
Check the deed: If there is a business that does not contribute into the Black economy and support Black businesses, colleges, and entrepreneurship, they should not BE in our neighborhoods, period. Any of them. Not a one of them. We don’t have to segregate in order to integrate within and amongst ourselves and build a better tomorrow for our young ones. Asians do it all the time, they live in majorly white-oriented neighborhoods, but they keep their economics and enterprises and CASH to themselves … unless they are finding ways to grow their own businesses and buy their own homes and land in white neighborhoods by soaking us.
Food and Libations?
Eat some fish and veggies, the non-GMO kind, if you can find any.
Drink water. We don’t drink and consume enough of that anyway. It really is the only thing the Lord God gave us to drink, so it must have been all we needed for liquid refreshment from Day One.
Every year, EVERY True Black Friday, every “African American Day,” a new brick’n’mortar Black business needs to open and breathe life and economic viability into our own communities and another white-or-otherwise owned one that does not PAY US and PAY US WELL needs to “die by not shopping.”
This Black Friday, as well as all of the other “Black” and Proud days … The marching, crying, and the wimping out has got to end.
Pull the plug, move the money, and then handle business with Mr. “Yankee Doo-it” once and for all.
