It took a Black man getting elected President to wake Black people across the nation up from that deep long slumber that was going on between 1970 and 2008.

It also took that same Black man getting elected President to alert white America to the fact that Black America is “awakening.”

There is only one question left to be answered, because this New Awakening has stirred up some deep racial ugliness with all of its trappings that some of us thought we could lay to rest just by ignoring it and thinking positive thoughts, and “speaking positive” over it.

Not.

So the question is: “Now that you are awake, just what are you going to do about it?”
