UI Meme of the Day, a Daily Series…

Every now and then, life calls for a station break … a time to take a moment out to get a bad case of the ‘warm and fuzzies.’

Considering that “all hell” should be getting read to break loose in Ferguson, MO in the next few moments of our lives, always remember that had it not been for Black Americans, life on this Planet would have been mostly boring and unremarkable.

Without Black people the world over, Earth would have been a hell pit long before the Roman Empire took it down the wrong road.

No imagination, no ingenuity, no talent, no skills, not even numbers and an alphabet, let alone mathematical equations and translations, would the world have had had it not been for the originators of the planet where life began in what we now call The Middle East.

Forty-five years ago, the family who set the standard for modern music, musicians, and dance videos landed on Planet Earth spun those platter and spun the world around in circles.

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5: 1969 to Infinity & Beyond

All with the help of Bobby Taylor, Gladys Knight, and Berry Gordy, only one of whom got the credit for “discovering” the genius that became The Jackson 5, The Jacksons, and ultimately Michael and Janet Jackson as the biggest selling solo artists in the history of the industry, this family of unlimited and undisputed talent broke and busted up the recording stats of The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and even the great Elvis Presley himself.

They even outdid the people the magnanimous superstars who nurtured them as young men.

If you remember The Jackson Five “back in the day,” and as they are now even after the death of “showstopper brother Michael,” you lived during an awesome AWESOME era.

Never forget!

Thanks, Joe & Kate Jackson: Excellent Job! Moving sacrifice of love.

We thank you both for the family that became as our own, and we thank you for the music.
