A story has been being passed around that is DOPE! Some places are reporting that Usain earned $20 million from his olympic efforts and he is giving every penny to William Knibb memorial high school in Falmouth, Jamaica.

The athletics programs were said to be in danger because of financial cuts and Usain Bolt’s financial pledge, plus a once monthly visit for the next year will save them!

Woah!!

However, this story hasn’t reached major media yet so sadly it may not be completely true!

Other false stories such as the fact he signed the biggest deal in Nike’s history are circulating and this may be another of those.

HOWEVER! What we do know is…

Usain probably has not earned $20 million from the olympics, that’s roughly his yearly salary.

But, he certainly doesn’t forget his roots and it is TOTALLY true that he saved his high school’s athletics program with millions of his own cash.

He also has done tons for the local community and Jamaica, giving money to children’s homes, staging personal visits, building community centers and more.

So, even if the story isn’t completely right about the money and the facts it’s not far off the mark!
