Devon Todd was in the gas station while his brothers waited for him in the car. He saw an unfamiliar man and woman approach the car and he got a bad feeling. He ran outside the man and woman did not see him, he stood behind them and listened to what they were saying to his brother. When things got aggressive he pushed the man away from their car and the woman pulled out a gun and shot into the car at Devon’s brother. When the woman took her eyes off of Devon he knocked her down and took the gun away from her. Then the woman started yelling, “Get the other gun.

” Devon jumped in the car and rushed his brother to hospital. Sounds like a scene from Superman, right?

Devon saved his brother’s life! After his brother was stable in the hospital, Devon drove himself to the Detroit Police Department and turned himself and the gun in.

Well why is he in jail now, waiting to be sent to prison.

When Devon was younger, he was convicted and served time for armed robbery. Now 24 years-old, he had a job and spent his free time with his family according to David Todd, Sr., Devon’s father. He was on the right path, doing all the right things to be a better person. Which is why his father is confused as to why his son is in jail for saving David Jr.’s life.

Once Devon’s parole officer saw the video he stated that Devon was in violation of his parole because he left the scene of a crime and was in possession of a weapon. Reporters have reached to the parole officer for answers but of course have received no response. A blind person could see that he did what any normal person would do, whether they had a criminal background or not. Had he not intervened his brother would probably be dead. What do you think? Is the parole officer just doing his/her job or is this simply another prejudice situation, where a book is being judged by its cover?
