LOVE HER: Serena Williams SMASHES 300th Career Grand Slam Match Win!

Serena Williams has made history, yet again! It’s just becoming part of being Serena!

When she is not fighting body shaming, standing up to racism and building schools in Jamaica she plays tennis on occasion too!

And this Wimbledon tournament saw he thrown into a match on a typical rest middle Sunday (only the 4th middle Sunday in the tournaments history to have a match). This was due toe rain during the week.

Sunday or not, Serena was on form beating Annika Beck 6-3, 6-0. This match was something special and Serena didn’t even realise (that’s just how cool she is!)

It was her 300th win in a Grand Slam tournament. This gives her the second-most ever in the Open era which breaks a tie with Chris Evert.

Seven more victories are all that’s needed to break the all-time record held by Martina Navratilova.

Stephen Wilson of the Associated Press talked to Serena and she had this to say

“Was it? Cool. Oh, nice,”

“I had no idea. That’s awesome, right? That’s good, right? I think that’s a lot of matches.”

Williams may well add the Tournament win to her great year!
