Through all the mess going on right now amazing moments still arise and this is one of them.

The children of Alton Sterling were left fatherless recently after police officers in Baton Rouge took his life. The 37 year old was a father of five.

Sterling was selling CDs infront of a store and police came to respond to a call from the store owner. The owner told police that Sterling was not the one causing the disturbance yet he ended up being shot many times.

Five kids! Fatherless, due to yet more police brutality.

Someone has stood up and now thought of these children. Actress, writer and youtube sensation Issa Rae has used her position to do something very special.

She set out to raise $40k for the kid’s college tuition. However after many outlets featured her goodwill she has raised $714,448.

She started a GoFundMe page and 23,980 people donated over 7 days.

Donations have finished but she has put forward a benchmark. We should be helping those children and families left behind by this mess.

Nothing can bring their father back, nothing at all, but we commend her beautiful gesture and it’s important to know these kids will be able to get educated.
