Idris is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars.

His hard work, sheer acting ability, and down to earth rhetoric make him near impossible not to like so it’s great news that he will be playing a lead role in Stephen King’s ‘Dark Tower’. This project has been followed closely for King’s fans for decades and the news seems to have created a very positive vibe.

He will play The Gunslinger in the story that was first published in 1981 and has gained a near cult following.

NYTImes reported “According to an interview with EW.com, Mr. King said the movie would cover material from the middle of the book series and take place in the modern day.

The first lines of the movie will be the first lines of the book: “The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed.”

I almost can’t wait to see Idris in anything and it’s a massive plus that his co-star will be the Southern’s finest Matthew McConaughey.
