Taraji P. Henson has had an amazing year.

Some would think she just stepped on the scene but most of know she is a vet. From Baby Boy to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, she has showcased her talent in some great movies. But Cookie has stolen the show, her sassy, straight forward, no nonsense attitude has captured the attention of the masses. Cookie was named Time’s most influential fictional character.

Before being named “Entertainer of the Year” by USA Today, she won the “Critics’ Choice Television Award” for Best Actress in a Drama Series. But the buck doesn’t stop there, she has also been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series along with a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama.

Despite all of this, she remains humble, stating she wants to pave the way for other young actresses.

Ms. Henson definitely did her thing this year! I’m sure her success will continue in the New Year as we all sit back in amazement waiting to for her next move.
