It’s always great to hear news about our unsung hero Colin Kaepernick! The NFL season has kicked off in full swing and Kaep has still not been signed. There have been several huge boycotts around the nation, some that are putting the NFL on notice. There are even other players following in Kaepernick’s footsteps by also kneeling during the National Anthem in protest of the systematic injustices against people of color, especially black people.
Even white players are starting to stand up!
Now, a group of black cops in New York this past weekend decided to make their support of good brother Colin Kaepernick known to the world. The cops gathered in Brooklyn Bridge Park to hold a rally for Kaepernick. The rally was hosted by Sargent Edwin Raymond and attended by 80 other officers who wore black T-shirts that said “#IMWITHKAP” on the front.
Sergeant Raymond said in an interview that he had been planning the rally before racial tensions came to a head in Charlottesville. He also said that he believed that the rally being held by police officers would send a loud message because a frequent criticism of Kaepernick has been that his protest was an affront to law enforcement.
“They said he disrespected law enforcement,” Sergeant Raymond said. “Well, I’m law enforcement, and he didn’t disrespect me.”
Strong words by Sargent Raymond, especially in the face of the most used criticism that Kaepernick’s protest was anti-military and anti-police. They don’t seem to be offended in the slightest so what’s the real issue?
We send love to the brothers and sisters in law enforcement up in New York for staying on code and supporting our brother! Everyone stand strong because greater is coming for sure!

A friend informed me that Colin Kaepernick could set up a Paypal account and that concerned folks could contribute to the account so that he would have money for his personal use pending the outcome of negotiations on his behalf by the NAACP.
