Cop Beaten And Fired After Stopping Fellow Officer Choking A Handcuffed Man!

Officer Cariol Horne was dismissed after 19 years of service in the Buffalo Police department for an act that should have gained her a promotion. She did her job, watching out for the public. The problem was, the person putting the public at risk was a fellow officer.

Now Carial is fighting for her pension, which she would have received after 20 years of service. Her story needs attention and she needs to be heard.

On November 1st 2006, she arrived at a scene where an officer was in distress.

Officer Gregory Kwiatkowski was the officer, he was at the scene of a domestic dispute.

The man was already under arrest, cuffed and sideways. He could not move and was not a threat. However, Kwiatkowski was said to be punching him in the face.

Horne and 10 other officers brought the suspect outside, however Kwiatkowski continued his attack and started choking the suspect.

Horne recounts:

“Gregory Kwiatkowski turned Neal Mack around and started choking him. So then I’m like, Greg! You’re choking him! I though whatever happened in the house he [Kwiatkowski] was still upset about it so when he didn’t stop choking him I just grabbed his arm from around Neal Mack’s neck,”

Then

“He comes up and punches me in the face and I had to have my bridge replaced,”

The suspect or Officer Kwiatkowski were never charged.

However Horne was, with 13 counts that included “jumping on officer Kwiatkowski’s back and/or striking him with her hands.”, which is on statement as not happening!

Years and years of trying to fight have reportedly left her with no legal options. At a special meeting with Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown she was told that all legal options had been exhausted.

A documentary is in progress that will hopefully bring her story to light.
