Charles Barkley has rubbed the black community wrong over the years. There has always been a choppy love/hate relationship with the former Auburn Tiger and NBA great. His outspoken disposition and many times the actual words out his mouth have fostered a dislike for him in the black community.

However, Chuck is putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to education for young black people by donating $1 million dollars to Morehouse College. In addition, Barkely is giving $1 million dollar donations to The Wounded Warrior Project and Auburn University.

Barkely dropped the news during a conference call for the American Century Championship’s celebrity golf tournament. Although he has an unorthodox golfing style, he clearly loves the game is always involved.

“I just got a new contract, and my goal is always to give a million dollars a year away to charity,” Barkley said during the call.

Barkely recently renewed his contract for eight to ten years as a studio analyst for TNT’s Inside the NBA. He shares the stage with Kenny Smith and Shaq.

How sure how you feel about Barkley as a person or inside the black community, but you got to respect someone who puts their money where their mouth is instead of just talking.
