Amidst Olympic coverage it feels somewhat like the absolute disaster happening in Louisiana is being given less than adequate coverage right now. With deaths, loss of homes and general panic we can’t leave them without help and hope.

Help is being asked for in the way of volunteers and donations through various organisations and we have provided links to a few below just in case you can do something to help.

HelpLouisianaFloodsMobile feeding units, cleaning up and hygiene kits and support personnel is being provided by the Salvation Army’s Gulf Coast fund, more info can be found here about how to volunteer or donate.

Volunteer Louisiana are providing people for assistance. So, visit their site or email [email protected].

United Way of Southeast Louisiana are taking volunteers and donations too. They also have a hotline for citizens in need of services, dial 211, the hotline is operating 24/7.
Convoy of Hope is also dealing out food, water, equipment and other supplies. They are taking donations. State it’s for “Louisiana August 2016 flood relief efforts”.
Save The Childen Gulf Coast Floods Children’s Relief Fund is specifically targeting help for children and have deployed persons at Baton Rogue. You can volunteer or donate.

Thank you!
