Malia Obama works as Production Assistant on the set of EXTANT with Spielberg and Berry

Malia Obama, who turns 16 on the Fourth of July, was recently caught doing her thing on the set of “Extant,” a SCI-FI film that will star Halle Berry as an astronaut who returns home from a space mission pregnant. Berry recently gave birth to a second child, a son, with fiance Oliver Martinez.

An inside source stated “She helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take.” Obama was also said to have commented, “My first time. This is a big deal!” 

Obama, who acted as a production assistant on Steven Spielberg’s watch, has not released information about how she got the Summer season gig or whether or not she plans to return.

The upcoming high school junior is apparently pointing her compass in the direction of Hollywood and movie production for a career objective.
