Landmark history-making United States of America First Lady Michelle Obama will be out and about to promote her upcoming memoir, “Becoming“. (Crown Publishing Group/Penguin Random House)

The book goes on sale Tuesday, November 13, 2018 and is currently available at mainstream booksellers for presale. The tour kicks off in Mrs. Obama’s hometown of Chicago on November 13.

“I’ve spent the last year and a half reflecting on my story as deeply and honestly as I could, and now I’m thrilled to travel the country and do the same with readers this fall,” Obama about her upcoming tour via a press release. “I hope that this tour will inspire others to reflect upon and share their own stories — all the joys and sorrows, all the scars and renewals — so that together, we can better recognize that each of us, in our own way, is in a constant process of becoming.”

The book tour will include the First Lady’s stories firsthand as she reflects on her experiences, both public and private. In partnership with Live Nation, 10 percent of every ticket will go to local charities, schools and community groups in each tour city.
