I’m not even really sure how to begin with this right here…..*exhales*..….. I mean, I’m just not sure I can do this justice in an area as short as this one, but I’m going to give it a shot.  I was sent this article VIA Facebook and after reading, I just had so much to say.

So apparently the superintendent and another senior administrator of the Coatesville Area School District in Pennsylvania have resigned following the public release of their district issued cell phone records.  To be blunt, they were acting a fool on their government issued cell phones, and by acting a fool, I mean using racial slurs like you wouldn’t believe. I want to get into all the details involving the way that they were even permitted to resign, which were in violation of the contract at least for the superintendent, but I think the bigger focus here should be on the messages themselves.

I’m going to list a few of the text messages here; I warn you, they are kind of harsh.

“All should just have whatever first names they want…then last name is NIGGER!  Leroy Nigger, Preacher Nigger, Night train nigger, Clarence nigger, Latoya nigger, Thelma nigger, and so on.”

“Great idea ! Joe nigger bill nigger snake nigger got a nice ring to it.”
“LMAO”
.
.
.
“Nigger to lunch now!”

They then begin talking about layoffs to which the text take this angle:
“How many niggers out of 23?  Not enough!”

“Don’t know but think only 4-5.  At most until last minute rush of firing by Goo of Phoenix and Kamara.”

“Good hangings there!”

Concerning sex between black and white staff they had this to say:

“No way! Please tell me no fucking way that ape banged that white piece? WTF is going on with these white pieces taking nigger cock! Me no understand.”

.
“EWWW”

That’s not all, there are also references made to “Coon Hunting” “Cotton Pickers” and more.
This wildly bold move is capitalized by the fact that these men did this on their work phones.  It also took longer than a month from discovery to termination, and it was a resignation, they should even have been given the option.  I pray daily that this isn’t the thinking of the decision makers on all levels of our country, but in far too many cases it seems to be.  This is a story that needs to be shared, these men and those like them need to be put on notice that this is completely unacceptable.
