Gabriel Goodwin is a 9 year old CEO, an elementary entrepreneur who raised $28,000 recently on Kickstater with the assistance of Rozalynn, her mom.
The money raised from Kickstart is meant to allow her to make new colors and designs for GaBBY Bow, her hair accessory solution.
Gabriel and her mom brought a remedy to the disappearing girls’ hair barrettes that is an age-old problem.
In the year 2015, Gabriel was selected as the year’s SC Young Entrepreneur and this made her the youngest CEO for that honor. She is the CEO and self-proclaimed President serving as the lead saleswoman and handling inventory at trade shows.
Among her roles in this enterprise is, writing thank you cards to clients who order her products online, speaking to schools and community groups, as well as helping with taxes of the sales.
She is responsible for hosting GaBBY Play Dates that educates girls in shelters of children about entrepreneurship.
When she was five, she helped her mom solve the age old problem of finding a barrette that would last in hair of a young girl. GaBBy Bows was born.
Her company officially started when she was just seven years old.
The GaBBY Bows is working to changed the world by saving girls and families from over spending on accessories and the frustration of losing typical barrettes.
