Michael Jackson’s 36 year old classic album, Off the Wall, will be re-released February 26th along with a DVD of the new Spike Lee Documentary entitled, Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall. The documentary will make its debut at the Sundance Film Festival January 24th and will be airing February 5th on Showtime. For the 25th Anniversary of Michael Jackson’s Bad album Spike Lee directed the Bad 25 documentary, so I’m sure it was only natural for him to do the honors of directing the Off the Wall documentary.
Jackson’s mother, father and brothers, Marlon and Jackie were interviewed for the documentary. We will learn more about Jackson’s start with Motown and his relationship with infamous Quincey Jones.
Michael Jackson fans will have an opportunity to travel back in time and reminisce about what they were doing when they first heard hits like Rock with You and Don’t Stop ‘til You Get Enough.
The re-release of the will be in February in honor of Black History Month.
