September 22, 2015 more than 40 FAMU Law graduates were sworn in. In a city and a state that is constantly trying to dismantle the historic HBCU and hand the pieces as well as the funding over to FSU, FAMU continues to exist and continues to prove that it is one of the best institutions in the State. While their Pharmacy Program is normally what they are known for academically boasting one of the top Pharmaceutical Programs in the State. This past Bar Examination session shows that their Law School is also very much up to par.
In July 2015 the attorneys being sworn in passed the BAR at a rate of 67.9 percent. Of the 84 students that took the BAR for the first time, 57 passed. This exceeded the numbers put up by five of the other Law Schools in Florida. The Law School also managed to perform this same feat last year meaning for the last 2 years, FAMU Law has been kicking butt in the State of Florida.
Who said sending your child to an HBCU would handicap them…Apparently someone that hasn’t been paying attention.
