According to The National, OSN, one of the largest television subscription services in the Middle East and North Africa will not be airing new episodes of the Daily Show since replacing Jon Stewart with Trevor Noah.  The show which had previously done pretty well on the network is being cut because the broadcaster doesn’t believe Trevor Noah will appeal to their target audience.  What is interesting about this is that Trevor Noah has done several sold out shows in the area, has a huge following all over Africa, and has a show scheduled on Oct.

Jon Steward retired from the show last season and Trevor Noah after having appeared on the show with Jon Steward was eventually selected to replace him.  The show will be aired in America.

Trevor Noah is a comedian from South Africa and is considered by many to be the most successful comedian the country has ever produced.  He was born to a Black Mother and a White Father during Apartheid.  His comedy is a very in your face talk about the different culture groups present in his experiences and how they blend and interact with themselves and each other.
