Mzzz Jackson Returns to Mixed Reviews on the 6th Anniversary of Her Brother’s Death

Today, June 25, 2015 is six years to the day that we found out that Michael Joseph Jackson had died, and it turned the music world topsy-turvy and at a grave loss for what would transpire with the absence of one of the industry’s last and best greatest original unbridled talents.

It has been about seven years since Michael’s “little sister” Janet has released an album and she is making her comeback move with vintage Janet and her new iTunes bedroom-ready cut “No Sleeep.”

No stranger to “original talent” herself, Janet Jackson, the youngest of nine children of Joseph and Katherine Jackson, has a certain svelte and sultry sound that is classic to her and her generation of fans.

The newly released song, featuring her old school collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, has arrived on the audio stream with mixed reviews, ranging all they way from people who love it and who will love anything Ms Jackson does because she is who she is, to people who hate it, and even to people who don’t have a clue who she is.

We didn’t think an era would arrive when the young folk could not name more than one Jackson Five member and a generation of young folk who really don’t know that Janet was never a member of the Jackson Five, nor can they name any of the hit songs she made gold and platinum-famous for her entire 30+-year career, but that is exactly what has transpired.

Her nieces and nephews comments on this video, however, are just as they should be. “Auntie J” is always going to be golden to them.

Give it a listen and tell us what you think. Don’t fall asleeep.
