The FDA has been on my list of government agencies dropping the ball for quite some time now, but this is ridiculous even by their standards.

This week, the Food and Drug Administration admitted the vast majority of chicken sold in the United States contains cancer causing arsenic. In fact, upwards of 70% of the chicken consumed by Americans contain the cancer-causing agent. No wonder more and more people are getting and dying from cancer these days.

Arsenic is being added to the chicken feed on purpose by companies and farmers. It makes the store-bought chicken look better on the shelves with healthy coloring and larger sizes, but the thing that gets me is no one is being arrested for purposefully poisoning the American people.

The FDA is taking action by ASKING Pfizer to stop making Roxarsone, which contains the arsenic and is added to the chicken feed. This request was made by the FDA after they tested chickens and found the Roxarsone in the livers.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

According to the Wall Street Journal “The agency said it recently conducted a study of 100 broiler chickens that detected inorganic arsenic at higher levels in the livers of chickens treated with 3-Nitro compared with untreated chickens … Pfizer said sale of 3-Nitro would be stopped by early July in order to allow animal producers to transition to other treatments.”

Even the request to stop making Roxarsone to Pfizer is a bit surprising because the FDA has been on the record numerous times claiming the arsenic levels are so small that it is safe for consumption. This despite it being a known facts that arsenic in humans can cause neurological defects in fetuses, growing children and cancer for everyone else.
