17 Examples of Jim Crow Laws in the United States of America

Over a decade after the Emancipation Proclamation “freed” the so-called Slaves in America, the country decided to ensure life for the victims would continue to be difficult by enacting laws to preserve their White privilege.

In 1877, Jim Crow Laws to ensure the segregation of the country and keep Black people in a subordinate position in the country were enacted and passed. These laws built on the implicit segregation of the “Black Codes” in the country just after so called freedom was issued for Black people.

Let’s begin with just 17 examples of this systematic racism.
