In 2014, Kayla and Keonna Davis were having a hard time finding a job until their mother told them to stop begging for a job and to become their own bosses. Since then, they have been planning and networking to find KD Hair Supply located in Moreno Valley, CA. At 21 and 19, they are the youngest people to ever own a beauty supply store. Their store contains a wide variety of hair products from bulk weaving to natural hair products.

In an interview with The Root, the Davis sisters stated that it took a lot of time and planning for their business to kick off;but in the end, it was worth it all. They also have future plans to expand their business. As for advice for young entrepreneurs, they said “We would like to tell them to be patient and to go for whatever they desire. People will discourage you and tell you that it’s too hard, but we want to encourage them to research their dream to see if it’s obtainable and go for it.”
