You can’t knock this man’s actual actions, he isn’t just a man of words and increasingly it’s apparent that despite people claiming he is anti-american for his refusal to stand during the national anthem he is doing things that prove he cares about the people around him.

And that is especially true when it comes to kids.

He already does amazing work with kids with heart conditions and now his girlfriend Nessa (of NYC’s Hot 97 fame) have given an amazing gesture.

The pair have give around ,000 worth of backpacks to kids in in Harlem and the South Bronx.

Nessa said at the giveaway

“Having a new backpack to start off the new school year helps give each student a fresh start,” and went onto say “When we looked at everything when it comes to supplies, we found backpacks were an investment for most parents. As for the student, we wanted to ensure we found one that could last for more than a year and that was sturdy, durable and versatile for students to use for books, sports equipments or art materials, and traveling.”

Colin joined via videolink and had a message too saying

“We must invest in our youth because they are the future leaders of our community,” and “I want them to know that we appreciate and care for them. In doing so, we must provide all the necessary tools for them to succeed, and I will do whatever I can to ensure we do that as a community.

”

The bags went to Harlem RBI’s Dream Charter School Middle School and kids at the Patterson Family Day in the South Bronx.
