A cop decided to pull over an Uber driver and tried to tell a few lies to the driver who was not fully responding to requests to stop filming. The cop claimed a “new law” made it illegal to film the police.

The thing is, the cop was lying, the driver was moonlighting as an Uber driver and fully knew his rights as he had his Bar card and he is an attorney!

So, he recorded the incident, posted it to facebook and spread the word. Honestly, I think, there should be a case to arrest the officer for lying. That should be an offence as you are constantly on duty and have to uphold the law.

One other thing to point out…. The driver was a white attorney, so even though K9s searched his car he wasn’t subjected to violent abuse that may have been more likely if he was black and had resisted the cops lies…. Just my two cents.

Still…. It pays to know the law.
