Jason White, a West Texas Dentist and Trump supporter was in New York to celebrate Trump’s inauguration. He was wearing his Make America Great again cap when he and his friends decided to visit the artsy liberal Busboys and Poets. This is a place the fights for social justice!

The trio removed their hats out of respect and were served by black part-time waitress Rosalynd Harris.

Rosalynd and Jason chatted about life, she was feeling good after attending a woman’s march that day and the pair got along very well.

At the end of the meal she was shocked when the bill, barely over $70, came along with a $450 tip! But more than the tip was a note that Rosalynd said meant more to her.

The note read:

“We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people. Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!”

Rosalynd said of the incident:

“If everyone did a little something to show respect…we can love one another.

“As I sat there I thought about the entire weekend and I thought I don’t know her, she doesn’t know me, but if most Americans have a preconceived perception about people then we’re never going to get better”

And Jason said:

“We have to think about being better Americans, we have to look into ourselves and how we treat one another,”

Despite not agreeing with every word from Trump’s mouth he is living in hope that Americans can move forward as one.
