49ers legend Jerry Rice took some slack for criticizing Colin Kaepernick’s protest during the pre-game national anthem against racial inequality and police brutality. Back in August Rice had tweeted that “All lives matter” and had been clear to say that he thought that Kaepernick should not “disrespect the flag.”
He defended that stance since, that is until now! He has reversed his position. Now, of course that in many ways is a good thing but is he just trying to get out of the firing range or is he genuine in his realisation?
More and more players are joining and people are coming out in support, and on Monday Rice tweeted
@JerryRice
I support @Kaepernick7 for bringing awareness for injustice !!!! As Americans we all have rights! Im hoping we all come together#solution
Hmmmmmmm, I guess it’s hard to know his position and exactly why this has happened. But Rice doesn’t stay quiet so hopefully he will enlighten us. The more that rally to this cause the better!
Personally I think that you gotta give people a chance, we all go on pour journeys of realization. I welcome Rice’s contribution and support.
Do you agree, or does this movement not welcome Rice?
