Parenting is not for the faint of heart is something we have all heard. Well, a faint heart isn’t something that identifies Jimmy Morris, the father of a woman beaten by her boyfriend.

After Morris learned what Courtney Grace did to his daughter, he promptly grabbed a baseball bat and hit him over the head with it. His fatherly instincts kicked in and he went to protect his flesh and blood as any real man would.

The incident happened earlier this month in Palm Beach, Florida.

However, the crowd who gathered at the scene quickly informed the officers it was Grace who initiated the confrontation by beating on Morris daughter in front of her kids. She sat on bed of a truck holding her swollen eye and bloody face, according to the police report.

Morris, 59, was released under supervision from the Palm Beach County Jail. Grace, 31, remains in jail on $15,000 bail on charges of child neglect and battery in the same incident.

The incident started when Grace picked up his girlfriend and two children, then confronted her about the possibility of cheating on him. While driving, Grace repeatedly hit her in the face causing the swelling and bleeding of the young woman.

She was able to call her family and father about the incident. When the father arrived on the scene, he used his baseball bat in the back of the truck to hit Morris on the head. The bat broke from the force of the impact.

Grace was treated at the hospital before being arrested. The woman was treated as well for her injuries.
