There is pressure to move away from the Confederate flag. Arguments of heritage and historical value are fading away quickly. Public sentiment seems to be siding with it is time to remove the from the American way of life. However, there are still pockets of people fighting this tooth and nail.

Who isn’t fighting any longer is interesting. Many of the countries largest retailers are dumping the flag following the public outrage of the flag being flown over the South Carolina state building.

Many in the black community and American community in general feel this is a good move, but believe it is sad there is even a mass market for the flag of traitors. Remember, the Confederacy fought a war to break up the United States…over their right to keep the so called slave.

Nevertheless, many more of us realize just because you pull down a flag or stop selling it in a store, it isn’t going to root out the white supremacy mindset or the racist structure this country is built upon.
