You read that right. Over 8,000 people have decided to take their talents (and their funds) to be in the care of Citizens Trust Bank, a Black owned and operated bank! And get this: these people have all flocked to the bank within the last week!

This comes at a time of the black community being absolutely fed up with the constant injustice, racism, and overall shenanigans at the hands of others. More people are not just speaking out, but also taking action, and putting their money where their mouths are. The recent killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile has prompted boycotts of major retailers, and has encouraged generating more business for black owned establishments.

Citizens Trust Bank is celebrating 95 years in service, and they celebrated this most recent victory by sharing this amazing milestone via Instagram. The photo is captioned:
