They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but video of a white man witnessing the killing of unarmed, black teen Michael Brown must be worth at least a conviction of officer Darren Wilson. In exclusive video acquired by CNN and released on Wednesday, cell phone footage filmed by a bystander catches two white men who witness the shooting of Michael Brown and their reaction.
The man in the salmon shirt, who didn’t want to be identified holds his hands above his head and shouts, “He had his fucking hands in the air!”, moments after the shooting on August 9th, 2014.
The film was released on the “Anderson Cooper 360” show on CNN.
Both men in the video are contractors in the area doing some work. They witnessed everything unfold from about 50 years from the shooting and killing of Michael Brown. The man in the salmon shirt said they heard one gunshot followed by another 30 seconds later. He said Brown looked liked like he was staggering, putting his hands up and saying, “Okay, okay, okay” but that “the cop didn’t say get on the ground, he just kept shooting.”
The man in the green shirt, who also didn’t want to be identified, said as Brown was running away from the officer with his hands up, Officer Wilson shot him in the back, according to CNN
It is worth saying, these two men were not from Ferguson, but only there on assignment. They have no connection to Brown or the Brown family. And as CNN reports in the video below, both of their stories match up with the testimony of other witnesses to the killing of unarmed, black teen Michael Brown.
