Stop Emasculating Our Children Hip Hop: Where do we go from HERE!!

I came across a recent article about a young African American rapper named Young Thug. The first thing I noticed is a picture of the rapper in a skirt. Apparently, blacks tend to think this is ok and not question the moral image he is displaying.  This isn’t the first time African Americans wore dresses.

It ranges from Kanye West, even to Cee-Lo Green wearing a wedding dress. This is becoming a norm for society especially, for upcoming male African American artists. It’s clear that society is not speaking up about this issue simply because it is generating money. If we are doing this for that reason, then we are become a product of material wealth.

We must allow ourselves to educate our future generation. We cannot accept or change the fabrication of reality by trying to make a easy buck. There are many other opportunities to make money and to be a positive influence in America. Rappers are coming more liberal with their sexuality. Even more so with their choice of wear.

How many times must I see great artists like Cee-Lo Green in a wedding dress or Andre 3000 wearing a Kilt?

Last time I checked he wasn’t of Scottish decent. I never want to disrespect what black artist do. We have to remember that there are long term psychological effects when we begin to see the same negative messages the media sends out. In this case, young black rappers wearing skirts!!!!!

Not only your emasculating our black male youth, your selling them to the highest bidder in the world. I don’t even want to mention black actors ( Madea) I will table that to another discussion.  Please, wake up we are killing the image of our beautiful race, which was established centuries ago.

We came from royalty to the laughing stock of the world.
