Tulsa Is Holding First Public Meeting About Tulsa Race Riot And Potential Mass Graves

The Tulsa Race Riot was one of the lowest points in American History and one that explicitly targeted the Black community.

The City of Tulsa’s Black community is of course still hugely affected by the act of terrorism and we can argue Black society as a whole is reeling from this and many similar attacks aimed at breaking up the empowerment of our people.

So it is great news that the City of Tulsa will hold its first public meeting regarding the Race Riot of 1921 this month to discuss the investigation into possible mass graves.

Plans are afoot to re-examine three possible mass grave sites that were identified in a report from 2001.

The meeting is set to take place on June 27th at 5:30 p.

m. at the 36th Street Event Center.
