Sometimes when people venture off into the unknown we criticize them because we don’t understand there decision, for whatever reason it doesn’t make since to us. Why mess up a good thing? Like when Oprah Winfrey left her TV show to start her own network. Some people thought it was a horrible decision but Oprah saw the bigger picture, ownership.

This is reminiscent of the suggestion Master P recently made to Colin Kaepernick:

Yes it may take some time to build and gain some traction but eventually they can create a legacy. If football players are being paid hundreds of millions of dollars that means owners are billionaires. We must start working toward ownership in every aspect of life.  We are the reason most people tune in to watch sports anyway, so why are we content with being paid to simply play? Retired athletes should be deciding which team they will own, instead of which team they will coach.

I love Master P’s mindset. He has never been afraid to dream big. If other black millionaires are willing to take a chance like Oprah, we may witness some major moves being made in sports!
