Is The Dove Ad Really Racist or Do Black People Need to Get Out of Their Feelings?

Before we get all in our feelings, did anyone actually watch the Dove ad or is everyone making assumptions based off of a screenshot someone posted? Before we start pointing fingers and using the R – word all willy-nilly take a look at the ad for yourself.

Okay so I will admit, I was shaking my head when I saw the screenshot floating around. Then I actually surfed for the ad and watched it myself and immediately got pissed at the person who was trying to stir up some drama.

The ad was not racist in any way, shape or form.

It’s easy to jump to conclusions when a part of the picture is missing.

The ad was clearly advertising that their products works on any type of skin.

For goodness sake people, calm down.

Does the full picture change your perspective?

White people need to get out of their racism. As long as they emote about white supremacy, we shall emote about racism. It was racist as hell, bottom line. And we have as much of a right to have “feelings” about it as they do to perpetrate it.
