Neighbors Leave Black Family “Racist” Note ‘This isn’t the Ghetto’

A black family in Fishers, Indiana found a note in their mailbox. The letter included the cost of not taking care of their lawn and said to the family that they weren’t living in the ghetto.

This kind of language in a predominately white neigborhood towards a Black family can be seen to be racist and the Sullivan family thinks they were targeted because of this.

Chris Sullivan said:

“The biggest thing is just disheartening,”

“I opened it started reading the first few lines and checked to see if anybody was watching and I finished it and was just like here we go,”

The note was mainly an attack claiming he was not taking care of his yard but the line, “This isn’t the Ghetto and your home looks trashy.” was totally uncalled for.

Do you think this was intentionally racist?
