(WATCH) Dave Chappelle Gives First Radio Interviews In Twelve Years

I was watching Wild N’ Out on yesterday scrolling through my social media and I saw a post from “The Breakfast Club” Facebook account. Being a huge fan of the show I immediately clicked on it. They normally do a drop with the latest artist or actor/entertainer that’s coming through for the next show. However, they didn’t do that. DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God were on the screen hyping up the interview by not saying who the person they brought in was. They just kept saying he was a legend and that the interview would be huge!

Immediately the internet started to speculate. Was it Drake, who finally buried the hatchet with Charlamagne Tha God back in 2015, ready to face the toughest interview of his life? Would it be former president Barack Obama ready to give his unfiltered thoughts on his presidency and the debacle of a situation Donald Trump finds himself in? Maybe it was Eminem, since that would be groundbreaking for them to land an interview with him. Nope, it obviously had to be Dave Chappelle! Dave has a residency in Radio City music hall coming up and he just did a radio interview with legendary personality Sway on Sway In The Morning. Plus, Yee said that it was nice to have friends that can bring superstars up to the show. It obviously she was talking about Ashy Larry!

So, they announced that Dave Chappelle was indeed the person that they were talking about and they aired the interview this morning. Hearing Dave Chappelle back on the radio with both Sway and The Breakfast Club was a breath of fresh air. In the interview, he discussed the ending of The Chapelle Show, the Death of Charlie Murphy and his Netflix deal. In the Sway interview he dealt more with  Netflix while he was more introspective on The Breakfast Club. If you have time today, make sure to check it out. Jay-Z’s album dropped and we have two new Dave Chappelle interviews to sink our teeth into? Today is truly a good day!
