In Chicago one thing we know is accompanied with the long summer days we patiently wait for all winter, is an increase in shootings. Parents are afraid to let their children go outside and enjoy the weather due to the violence in the city. The unthinkable happened in board daylight, we two teenagers took a man’s life in front of his small children.

The two teens described by witnesses as 130 pounds soak and wet, approached the 25 year-old father of two as he discussed with their mother whether they would the kids to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather.

One of the teens asked him what he was “about.” Suspecting danger, the 25 year-old responded, “I’m with my kids.”

Then the teen turned to the other and said, “Shoot that n—–, shoot that n—–.”

“I’m with my kids,” the man repeated. His girlfriend made the same plea: “He’s with his kids.”

The teen shot the man in the forehead and then stood over his body and shot him two more times. This all happened in front of both of his children, the oldest is 2, and his girlfriend. The girlfriend screamed, “Wake up, wake up.”

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, there have been no updated on his condition since the shooting. These were kids that should have been at the park playing basketball but instead viciously changed a family forever.

Unfortunately, this is only one of the 12 shootings that took place in Chicago yesterday.
