The House Has Voted to Limit The Powers of The First Black Librarian of Congress

Reports are coming in that the first African American Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla Hayden has had her responsibilities weakened thanks to a house vote.

The new bill passed by the house is said to make the the Copyright Office, the Register of Copyrights, a presidential appointment that would have to be confirmed by the Senate, rather than an appointment by the Librarian of Congress.

This had been this way since 1870!

Not many sources are reporting this.

It was originally reported by Black press USA but has since been removed and this info came via Lisnews.
